Senior Accountant

Description:

A well-established building materials trading company in Sharjah, with over two decades of operations in the UAE, is currently seeking an experienced Senior Accountant / Finance Supervisor. This is a management-level role reporting directly to the company owner, ideal for a professional who can independently oversee finance functions and contribute to strategic decision-making.

The role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual capable of managing end-to-end accounting operations, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations, and delivering accurate financial insights to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently manage UAE tax compliance, including VAT and Corporate Tax filings and reporting

• Prepare monthly financial statements along with detailed profitability and cost analysis

• Develop and maintain rolling cash flow forecasts covering a 2–3 month period

• Oversee accounts receivable, including handling post-dated cheques and credit control processes

• Perform inventory costing and analyze gross margins to support pricing and profitability strategies

• Coordinate with external auditors and liaise with the Federal Tax Authority (FTA) for compliance matters

• Ensure strong financial controls are in place and maintain accuracy in reporting across multiple entities

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or CMA is mandatory

• Minimum of 5+ years of relevant UAE experience, preferably within trading or building materials companies

• Strong expertise in UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations

• Hands-on experience in inventory accounting and cash flow management

• Ability to independently manage the full set of accounts

• High level of responsibility, risk awareness, and proactive approach to financial reporting

• Experience working in a multi-entity business environment is an added advantage
