Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Architectural Designer (Specialized in Pedestrian Bridges) to join our team! In this role you will get to design iconic pedestrian bridges.
What You'll Be Doing
- Design Pedestrian Bridges: Steel pedestrian bridges, Concrete pedestrian bridges, suspension bridges, precast pedestrian bridges, architecturally unique and iconic pedestrian bridges.
- Integrate aesthetic design with the structural and functional requirements.
- Design the accessibility of the pedestrian bridge, ensuring compliance with the Dubai Accessibility standards and international guidelines (e.g., ADA).
- Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure correct information and inputs are received on time.
- Guide younger architects & BIM modelers for the coordinated design of a pedestrian bridge.
- Coordinate with his manager and ensure alliance with the team's targets.
What Required Skills You'll Bring
- Experience: Minimum 12 years of professional experience in architectural design, with at least 5 years in Dubai/UAE.
- Specialized experience in the design of pedestrian bridges, including conceptual, detailed design, and coordination with structural and MEP disciplines.
- Must be familiar with local authority requirements (Dubai Municipality, RTA, Trakhees, DDA). Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from an accredited university.
- Master’s Degree in Architecture or Urban Design (preferred but not mandatory).
- Registered Architect with UAE Society of Engineers (SOE) and approved by Dubai Municipality. Key Skills and Expertise:
- Proven experience in conceptual and detailed design of pedestrian bridges, including:
- Steel pedestrian bridges
- Concrete pedestrian bridges
- Suspension bridges
- Precast pedestrian bridges
- Architecturally unique and iconic pedestrian bridges
- Experience in integrating aesthetic design with structural and functional requirements.
- Ability to design accessible pedestrian bridges, ensuring compliance with Dubai’s accessibility standards and international guidelines (e.g., ADA).
- Strong knowledge of Dubai Municipality (DM) and RTA regulations for pedestrian bridge design.
- Familiarity with Dubai Green Building Regulations and sustainability standards.
- Experience with local authority submissions and approvals.
