Description:
The Strategy and Future Department is seeking a Senior Institutional Research and Market Analyst Responsible for implementing institutional research and market research-related activities, including market trends analysis, benchmarking studies, and predictive modeling, to support data-informed decision-making, enhance competitiveness, and ensure alignment with the University’s strategic objectives, rules and regulations, applicable standards, policies, and procedures.
The Responsibilities
- Collect, validate, and analyse external market data alongside institutional data to support market positioning efforts.
- Conduct comparative analysis between institutional performance, market trends, and sector-wide best practices.
- Prepare market-focused analytics reports that inform strategic decisions on competitiveness, growth, and external partnerships.
- Develop and apply predictive market models and forecasting tools to anticipate sector trends, labor market shifts, or competitor moves.
- Provide business intelligence insights by combining market analysis with institutional data to inform strategic initiatives and enhance institutional positioning.
- Maintain and update dashboards that combine internal metrics with external market indicators to obtain a holistic view regarding institutional performance.
- Assist in designing, administering, disseminating, and analyzing surveys focused on course evaluations, market perception, employer feedback, and stakeholder expectations using Explorance Blue.
- Ensure the compliance of market and institutional research activities with data governance, privacy, and institutional policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate internal and external data sources in order to generate strategic insights.
- Support institutional reporting to government entities, accreditation bodies, ranking organizations, and benchmarking associations by coordinating data submissions and ensuring data quality and compliance with reporting requirements.
- Generate and maintain institutional data repositories and historical datasets, ensuring accessibility and consistency for longitudinal analysis
- Responsible for a variety of data-gathering activities for creating and updating the FactBook annually.
- Perform ad-hoc activities related to the job duties, as requested by the direct supervisor.
The Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience and at least 4 years in a supervisory position; or Master's degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience and at least 2 years in a supervisory position.
- Certification in a relevant field is preferred.
- Explorance Blue Certification is preferred
