Senior Interior Architect

Description:

Our client is a highly reputable company in the hospitality sector, currently seeking an experienced Senior Interior Architect / Senior Interior Designer to join on a 6-month contract basis. Contract could be extended.

Non-Negotiable Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
• Proven experience in hospitality projects (ideally premium or luxury sector)
• Contract duration: 6 months
• Available to start immediately (or as soon as possible)
• Arabic speaker preferred
• Valid UAE driving license with own vehicle
• Competitive salary package offered

Scope of services – Subject to be modified to adjust to client needs and requirements

Throughout this phase, the designer shall coordinate with the project execution team on site to ensure successful completion of this phase of work, responsibilities include:

1- Design management and stakeholder’s coordination management for all design related matters of the project on site, including but not limited to contractors, sub-contractors and suppliers.

2- Assist client in obtaining bids or negotiating proposals for interior related procurements, construction tasks and FF&E.

3- Site supervision related to progress, compatibility and quality of works, making sure that the execution is aligned with the approved ID and IFC drawings

4- Attend or lead site meetings with project execution teams as well as with sub-contractors and suppliers.

5- Review all samples submitted by suppliers, provide comments and work on giving approvals prior to production. This includes paint, fabrics, wallpaper, wood etc.. finishes which should be aligned with the approved ID specifications

6- Review shop drawings related to ID prepared by contractor and sub-contractors, make sure they are aligned with ID and IFC drawings. Propose quick solution to any required changes based on site conditions.

7- Designer shall not be responsible for determining latent defects in the work or any other defects not readily observable by a visual inspection of the work.

8- Inspecting the quality and conformity of the works to the IFC documents

9- Interpretation of drawings and documents and supply of additional information

10- Provide quick and effective solutions for design changes that might be required to adjust to the site conditions

11- Handling all Request for information (RFIs), technical, material and work inspection reports related to ID and submitted by the contractors for reviews and approvals.

12- Review and respond to tender queries as necessary

13- Consider and advise client concerning alternatives proposed by the tenderers.

14- Designer will be present in client site office, full time for the first 6 months open to extension depending on the progress of the project. These periods will be adjusted depending on the load of the works and timeframe of the projects.
