Description:
Claviger is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic professional to lead the Tourism Board Team, driving strategic marketing initiatives, and managing relationships with OTAs (Online Travel Agencies). The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development, execution, and performance of marketing strategies, digital activations, and partnership growth, ensuring the successful delivery of Claviger’s commitments to Tourism Board.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Business Development:
· Lead and manage the Tourism Board Team, ensuring alignment with Claviger’s business objectives and Tourism board’s expectations.
· Develop and execute strategic marketing plans, focusing on increasing market share, visibility, and revenue growth.
· Strengthen relationships with OTAs, digital partners, and key tourism stakeholders to maximize exposure and bookings.
· Drive B2B and B2B2C marketing initiatives, ensuring effective campaigns and activations.
· Identify new growth opportunities within the GCC and Egypt markets.
Marketing & Digital Activation:
· Oversee the development of digital marketing campaigns, including paid media, influencer collaborations, and content strategies tailored for OTAs.
· Work closely with tourism boards, hotel partners, and travel platforms to create impactful promotions.
· Analyze market trends and consumer insights to optimize marketing efforts and ROI.
· Ensure all campaigns align with Tourism Board branding, guidelines, and objectives.
OTA & Partnership Management:
· Negotiate and manage partnerships with key OTAs (e.g., Booking.com, Expedia, Agoda, Trip.com) to enhance visibility and performance.
· Implement data-driven strategies to improve OTA conversion rates, pricing models, and customer acquisition.
· Monitor KPIs, performance analytics, and revenue growth from OTA channels.
· Collaborate with OTA partners to run seasonal campaigns and tactical promotions.
Team Leadership & Operational Excellence:
· Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team to drive tourism board initiatives.
· Work cross-functionally with sales, finance, and operations teams to ensure seamless project execution.
· Provide regular progress reports, performance updates, and insights to senior management.
· Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, budgets, and timelines.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
· Increase in Hotel Guests: Achieve targeted growth in visitor numbers to destination.
· Market Activation Execution: Ensure 100% completion of planned trade and MICE activations.
· Partnership Success: Strengthen relationships with key trade, corporate, and MICE partners.
· Training Completion: Achieve set targets for agent training and development programs.
· Event Participation: Execute and track success of major destination promotional events.
· Budget Utilization & ROI: Ensure efficient allocation of financial resources.
Financial & Operational Management
· Manage and monitor budget allocation and expenditure in line with annual business plans.
· Ensure timely reporting on market activities, financial performance, and campaign effectiveness.
· Oversee the CRM database management, ensuring structured engagement and reporting of trade and corporate contacts.
· Maintain compliance with tourism board’s data security, confidentiality, and governance policies.
Key Requirements:
Experience & Qualifications:
· 10+ years of experience in marketing, OTA management, or tourism/hospitality sector.
· Strong background in digital marketing, branding, and content strategy.
· Proven success in managing relationships with OTAs, DMCs, and travel platforms.
· Experience handling government and tourism board contracts
· Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, Tourism, or a related field.
