As a Senior Landscape Architect at Urban, you will play a critical leadership role in designing and delivering cutting-edge landscape projects. Required Skills and Expertise:
- A professional Degree in Landscape Architecture is essential.
- Extensive experience in designing and delivering complex landscape architecture projects, including parks, urban plazas, mixed-use developments, masterplans and ecological restoration.
- Strong understanding of sustainable landscape practices, including water-efficient design, native planting strategies, and innovative stormwater management systems.
- Expertise in creating conceptual designs, masterplans, and detailed construction documentation.
- Proficiency in design software including AutoCAD, Rhino, Grasshopper, Enscape, Lumion, parametric and rendering software, and expertise in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office. Familiarity with GIS, Revit, and other technical tools is advantageous.
- Strong graphic, visualisation, and rendering skills are advantageous.

Position Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of landscape architecture projects, including large-scale public spaces, private developments, and ecological initiatives.
- Manage all project phases, from concept design and master planning to detailed design and construction oversight (if required).
- Develop site-specific strategies for vegetation, hardscape, water features, and other landscape elements, ensuring alignment with project goals and local environmental conditions.
- Integrate sustainable design principles into every aspect of the project, enhancing ecological performance and resilience.
- Collaborate with architects, urban planners, and engineers to ensure cohesive and interdisciplinary designs.
- Conduct site analyses to assess environmental conditions, topography, soil types, and microclimates, using these insights to inform the design process.
- Prepare high-quality visual presentations, including diagrams, renderings, and detailed plans, to communicate design ideas effectively.
- Mentor junior staff, fostering a culture of innovation and professional growth within the landscape team.
- Maintain quality control standards and ensure all deliverables meet the firm’s benchmarks for excellence.
- Apply Urban protocols for file management, planning and design processes, and quality control standards for deliverables.
- Effectively communicates internally through timely and appropriate written, oral, and visual means.
- Manages time and workload to meet project task deadlines and commitments with regular interaction and direction from project leaders and team members.
