Senior Program Manager

 

Description:

The purpose of a Program Manager is to manage delivery of complex programs with multiple projects and run program governance, monitoring and tracking across Program and projects to deliver value. He/she will also be responsible in defining program's Scope, Stakeholder mapping, objectives, success criteria and develop comprehensive program plans, including timelines, resources, budgets, tracking, reporting and dependencies, to guide the execution of initiative. And to ensure successful execution is aligned to Program methodology Agile, Waterfall or Hybrid model.
He/she is also responsible for providing timely and transparent Program governance, Risk reporting, Go Live planning review , reporting, presenting updates, monitor progress and ensuring strict compliance to agreed processes and standards.


Key Accountabilities 

· Define and articulate the program's vision, objectives, and success criteria in alignment with the organization's or across Business Units strategic goals.
· Program Management: To ensure that program initiatives deliver tangible value to the organization, contributing to increased efficiency, revenue, customer satisfaction, aligned to strategic goals.
· Program Governance, participate in Governance forums, meetings with key stakeholders for alignment.
· Review FSD, TSD & BRD and guide / govern till Business Signoff
· Create, track and present Monthly program update | presentation, Fortnightly program update
· Develop Strategic QA health check of programs & projects across AGI
· Do review and Governance of Cutover plans and check process alignments.
· Plan - Progress monitoring and reporting of key initiatives and key milestones across deliveries
· Testing ( SIT, UAT, Regression , BAT) progress oversight Build & Customization delivery tracking
· Vendor engagement, performance monitoring ( review of Contracts and SOWs)
· Conduct review of Technical and functional Requirements review & sign-offs
· Conduct review of Data mapping & data migration
· Ensure Trainings are planned and delivered as part of Change Management (IT & end users)
· Review plans of Cutover and Go-live of initiative
· Conduct and monitor Post Go-Live issue tracking & monitoring, Post Go-Live - User Adoption Review
· Conduct review of Program Risk and track closure across Programs and Projects and report into Governance forums
· Stakeholder Management: Identifying key stakeholders and ensure collaboration for requirements gathering and delivery.
· Communicating program objectives, progress, and outcomes to senior leadership and stakeholders.
· Resource Allocation and Management: Resource allocation to achieve program goals and priorities, ensuring optimal utilization of resources across multiple projects and initiatives.
· Risk Management and Strategic Decision-Making: Identifying, tracking and addressing high-level risks and challenges that could impact the program's success and risk mitigation plan.
· Change management: Ensuring alignment to change management process and supporting deliveries.
· Program Reporting - Reporting and tracking of Program deliveries, status against approved baseline Cost, Time and scope.
· Agile& Project Coaching - 1:1 with Scrum team members, stakeholders and management.
· Ensuring specific metrics and measures are incorporated into solutions enabling continuous improvement.
· Align to methodologies for effective project governance which covers the entire lifecycle of the project from demand recording, initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and control, through closure.
· Set cadence for review and status update meetings to stakeholders and management.
· ensure program assigned are delivered on time, within budget and within acceptable scope and quality.
· Responsible for successful delivery of programs with appropriate resource capacity plans.
Track and report Program budgets and reconciliation with Finance.
· Program Planning and Coordination: Developing detailed program plans, timelines, milestones, and dependencies.
· Coordinating the efforts of project teams to ensure alignment and integration of activities.
· Stakeholder and Collaboration: Managing delivery with cross-functional project teams, mapping stakeholders, setting communication and status update steerco's and Working group meetings, Fostering a collaborative team environment and promoting effective communication.
· Resource & Task Assignment: Manging Resource at Program level , Allocating resources to individual projects and tasks within the program.
· Assigning responsibilities to team members and ensuring workload distribution , tracking and timesheet reporting
· Risk Management and Issue Resolution : Identifying and managing risks and issues specific to individual projects, risk mitigation plan , updating and tracking Risks that arise during project execution.
· Progress Monitoring and Reporting: Monitoring project progress, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), and ensuring timely completion of deliverables. Providing regular status updates and reports on project performance to stakeholders, Mancom, Steerco's and to PMO
· Quality Control and Deliverable Review: Ensuring that project deliverables meet quality standards and align with program objectives., Test cases, SIT, UAT, BAT signoff form business and stakeholders,
· Conducting reviews and quality checks to maintain consistency, ensuring Test case automation is achieved and increased from project to project.
· Vendor Technical Management : Technical , Functional, discussion, alignment , POCs, Delivery and performance management of vendor
· Adherence to standards for the IT PMO and update and report on the various IT initiatives across to PMO and maintain tracker.
· Deliver coordinate programs and projects aligned to the established framework.
· Ensure PMO governance and standards are followed across all projects and programs
Program and project documentation to be maintained and tracked (contracts, SOPs, financial tracker , Approvals, AMCs and all project related artefacts in central repository)
· Interaction with key external partners; project managers and team members, contractors, business stakeholders, etc. to ensure integrated and successful delivery as a team
· work with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and individuals from various disciplines,
Communication-Articulate complex ideas and concepts clearly and effectively to a diverse audience, including technical and non-technical stakeholders, Time Management and Prioritization, Problem Solving , etc..
· Ensure adherence to PMO governance structures
· Compliance to agreed Project Management and Demand processes
· Ensure compliance with IT Policies, Security Standards and strengthen internal controls. Identify and manage key risks related to successful project delivery.
· Work continuously with the team to bring in test case automation
Based on Program Delivery, products , procedures, policies to be updated as part of delivery .


Education 

As a minimum a first Degree is required; Computer Science/IT/Engineering/Science or related subjects an advantage.
A good working knowledge of established project delivery methodologies (agile and waterfall)
A solid understanding of Program management methodology including Financial tracking.
· Project Management & Planning Certification, PMP, PGMP,MSP
· Scrum Certification, SAFE
