A prestigious Government Entity in Dubai is currently looking to hire a highly experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its Engineering & Projects Division. This full-time role presents a remarkable opportunity for seasoned professionals to participate in large-scale public infrastructure and development projects that shape the urban landscape of the UAE.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in cost estimation, contract management, project budgeting, and post-contract administration, especially within government or high-value infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the entire quantity surveying process from project inception (pre-contract) through to final completion (post-contract).

  • Prepare and review tender documents, cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQs), and feasibility studies.

  • Oversee and administer contract procedures including variations, claims, and dispute resolutions.

  • Conduct cost planning, budgeting, forecasting, and perform value engineering assessments to ensure project viability and cost efficiency.

  • Monitor financial progress, track project expenditures, and proactively identify cost overruns to implement timely corrective measures.

  • Ensure accuracy and timely preparation of monthly valuations, interim payments, and final accounts.

  • Validate contractor and supplier invoices for compliance and contractual alignment.

  • Apply comprehensive understanding of FIDIC or equivalent contract frameworks to support procurement and risk management activities.

  • Provide commercial insights and support to project managers, engineers, and senior leadership teams.

  • Prepare risk assessments, cost reports, and support negotiation strategies during critical decision-making stages.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management.

  • At least 12 years of proven experience in quantity surveying, preferably on large-scale government or infrastructure projects.

  • In-depth knowledge of FIDIC contracts, cost control mechanisms, and commercial project management.

  • Proficient in software tools such as CostX, Candy, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Excel.

  • Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and reporting skills with a strong sense of precision and accountability.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting with multidisciplinary teams and senior stakeholders.
