Zahads Chartered Accountants, a leading firm in Dubai specializing in accounting, tax, and advisory services, is currently seeking a Senior Tax Associate to join their dynamic team. This is a full-time role for a seasoned tax professional who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

As a Senior Tax Associate, the successful candidate will lead tax engagements, provide insightful tax advisory to clients across various industries, and mentor junior associates. The role requires a solid understanding of the UAE tax landscape, including VAT and Corporate Tax regulations, and a proactive approach in managing client portfolios and tax compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead preparation and review of VAT and Corporate Tax returns for a diverse client base.

• Offer strategic and actionable tax advice aligned with the latest legislation and FTA updates.

• Identify tax risks and planning opportunities, and deliver effective solutions.

• Represent clients during tax audits, addressing FTA queries and coordinating assessments.

• Supervise and mentor junior tax professionals, fostering a collaborative learning culture.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments (AML, Accounting, Business Setup) for integrated client services.

• Keep up-to-date with changes in tax laws including OECD Pillar 2 and GMTT frameworks.

• Maintain high standards in client communication and service delivery.

• Contribute to internal training, documentation, and thought leadership within the firm.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree and professional qualification (CA, ACCA, or equivalent).

• Minimum 5 years of tax experience in the UAE, ideally within a professional services firm.

• Strong grasp of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax regulations, and international tax standards.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Strong leadership skills and the ability to guide and inspire junior team members.

• Proficiency in MS Office and accounting/tax software (Zoho, QuickBooks, Tally).

• Analytical mindset with a commitment to client excellence.
