Site Civil Engineer

 

Description:

You will run civil and finishing works across several concurrent sites

maintenance jobs, fit-outs and full renovations. This is a hands-on

site role, not a desk role. You will be moving between projects daily,

which is why a valid UAE driving licence is essential.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Supervise civil and finishing works on site: tiling, gypsum and

 partitions, ceilings, painting, waterproofing, interlock and

 carpentry installation

- Carry out site surveys and measurements, and prepare BOQ take-offs

 for quotations

- Set out works and enforce quality standards before, during and after

 execution

- Sequence multi-trade activity and coordinate with our MEP teams so

 trades do not undo each other's work

- Plan daily manpower and material requirements; allocate labour and

 track consumption

- Report progress daily, including photographic updates to client

 communication groups

- Manage snagging, closeout, handover documentation and as-built records

- Enforce HSE on site method statements, risk assessments,

 permit-to-work discipline and PPE compliance

- Coordinate with building management, landlords and authorities on

 access, permits and inspections

- Record variations and site measurements for accurate invoicing

- Act as the day-to-day point of contact for clients and consultants

 

WHAT YOU NEED

- Diploma in Civil Engineering

- 3+ years' UAE experience in building maintenance, fit-out or

 renovation — main contractor or technical services background

- Valid UAE driving licence (mandatory).

- Strong working knowledge of finishing trades and the quality

 standards each requires

- Able to read and interpret drawings and prepare accurate take-offs

- AutoCAD and MS Office competency

- Confident supervising a multi-trade workforce and holding

 subcontractors to standard

- Fluent English. Hindi, Urdu or Malayalam is an advantage for site

 communication

- Willing to work out-of-hours, night shifts and weekends when retail,

 healthcare and school clients require it

 

NICE TO HAVE

- Experience with mall and landlord fit-out approval processes

- Familiarity with Dubai Municipality and Civil Defence inspections

- Site safety certification (NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent)

- Experience across multiple sectors, not only residential
