Description:
This role requires close coordination with site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure the accurate and efficient execution of civil works. The engineer must be capable of converting design concepts into clear technical packages for foremen and workers, while maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise construction activities on-site to ensure compliance with design drawings, specifications, and HSE standards
- Review, interpret, and prepare Phase 2 technical drawings (detailed execution drawings showing materials, methods, quantities)
- Conduct site inspections and take accurate site measurements
- Prepare and update BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and perform material take-off and cost estimation
- Generate accurate material procurement lists based on site needs and design requirements
- Coordinate with foremen and subcontractors, providing technical guidance and resolving construction issues
- Identify, report, and resolve conflicts or discrepancies between drawings and actual site conditions
- Collaborate with architects, structural, and MEP teams to ensure technical coordination
- Prepare site reports, document progress, and maintain daily records
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 4–5 years of experience in construction supervision and technical documentation (UAE experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, building methods, and site execution standards
- Experience in civil design, stormwater planning, and infrastructure is an advantage
- Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and other design/estimation tools
- Ability to interpret detailed technical drawings and translate them into practical site instructions
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
- Familiarity with Dubai Municipality, DLD, and local building codes is a plus
- PE license or relevant professional certification is a plus
- Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus)
