Description:
Lead the Migration for the successful implementation of the core banking transformation across Mashreq geographies by acting as the primary interface between the Technology and the assigned business/function group and the project implementation team.
This pivotal position requires a dynamic and strategic technology lead who can drive the modernization efforts essential for enhancing customer experience, and overall business agility
Key Result
- Act as the Technology team’s primary representative in the core banking upgrade system migration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Business, Finance, operations, external consultants and vendors.
- Support design and validation of business/ops specific configurations within Oracle FLEXCUBE, Channels and surround systems. Ensuring technical & functional integration including local regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with Oracle team for seamless data migration from existing core to proposed version of core.
- Design and develop data migration strategy.
- Ensure parameters and codes are in place for data migration.
- Ensure data mapping is complete from target application perspective.
- Ensure reverse mapping is complete to validate those data elements which are not getting migrated.
- Draw the data migration plan along with Oracle team for development, Migration acceptance testing runs. The development to include data migration, migration reports, reconciliation reports and automatic comparison reports. Plan to include dress rehearsals and cutover/go-live as well.
- Ensure data used in the migration environment is protected with appropriate access controls.
- Ensure data migration reports including reconciliation reports are fit for purpose.
- Ensure data migration acceptance testing are completed with the acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate with Business, Operations and Finance teams for their acceptance of data migration for each run.
- Ensure required data cleanse is carried out for the target version of the core product.
- Plan for data refresh to testing environments as per the program plan
- Ensure development scripts are refined from run time perspective
- Draw up the cutover run book along with Oracle.
- Own the cutover run book to ensure go-live timelines are efficiently planned.
- Ensure Day-0 data feeds are planned and delivered to respective applications as part of go-live.
- Support change management initiatives, ensuring smooth transition and adoption of the new system.
- Proactively identify and resolve project risks, issues, and delays related to programme deliverables.
- Represent Technology in the working group of the program and update program progress update to Tech senior management.
- Ensure Banks governance process is followed and documented.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of the upgrade program, including project plans, timelines, budgets, and technical specifications related to assigned business/Ops units.
- Perform business analysis to minimize customizations and maximize global consistency and standardization of products across various geographies
OPERATING ENVIRONMENT, FRAMEWORK AND BOUNDARIES, WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
- Work with Technology Dubai and Bangalore team in planning and tracking the program initiatives.
- Work with team members participating in back up and training activities.
- Effective Co-ordination with business and third-party stakeholders to manage their expectation
- Internal functions and work practices as per policy, compliance and procedures of the organization.
- Provide general administrative support to the team, including, meetings, knowledge transfer and Timesheet reporting, preparation pf weekly status report.
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, and status updates with internal stakeholders and external partners.
