Supervisor

Description:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Farm Supervisor to join our team in Fujairah. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in farm management, including crop and experience in managing staff and implementing sustainable farming practices.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate daily farming activities such as planting, irrigation, harvesting, and equipment maintenance
- Supervise and manage farm workers, including assigning tasks, providing training, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols
- Monitor and maintain farm infrastructure, including buildings, fences, and machinery
- Manage inventory and procurement of farming supplies and equipment
- Implement and enforce best practices for pest and disease control, weed management, and soil conservation
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement operational plans and strategies
- Maintain accurate records of farming activities, production, and expenses

- Supervise the soil preparation for date palms plantlets at different stages, fertilization, disease control, etc.
- Checking the growing conditions of date palms

Experience & Skills: 

- Strong knowledge of crop production techniques, as well as sustainable farming practices
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team of farm workers. 
- In-depth knowledge of farming techniques, equipment, and best practices
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make quick, sound decisions
- Good physical condition and ability to work in outdoor environments for extended periods
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and practices in a farming environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact with farm workers, management, and external stakeholders
