Technical Manager Architecture

A growing architecture and interior design studio in Dubai is looking to appoint a Technical Manager to join the business at a key stage of its growth

.

The studio delivers a mix of high end residential, hospitality and mixed use projects, with a strong reputation for detailed, design led work across complex builds.

This is a senior, hands on role for someone who wants to take ownership of technical delivery and play a visible part in how the studio develops over the coming years.

They are not looking for someone to sit in the background reviewing drawings. This role is about setting standards, leading from the front and becoming the go to person for all technical matters across the business.

Due to the nature of their clients, a strong preference will be people who have experience working in the UK, Europe, Australia, NZ South Africa or the US. You must already be based in the UAE.

The Role

• Lead the technical development of projects from design development through to construction
• Oversee the production and review of detailed drawing packages and specifications
• Ensure technical output is clear, coordinated and fully buildable
• Act as the key point of contact for all technical queries across projects
• Coordinate closely with consultants, contractors and specialist suppliers
• Drive quality across all technical stages, including QA and drawing standards
• Support and guide architects within the team, providing clear direction and feedback
• Contribute to project strategy and key decision making throughout delivery

What They’re Looking For

• Strong experience delivering high end residential projects
• Proven ability to manage complex detailing and technical coordination
• Experience working on large scale private villas or bespoke residential developments
• Confident leading technical stages and taking ownership of delivery
• Comfortable influencing standards and improving how projects are delivered
• Strong communication skills, able to deal with contractors, consultants and internal teams
• Someone who wants to be part of building and shaping a studio long term
