Description:
The Wholesale Showroom Manager is responsible for leading, overseeing, and maintaining the commercial relationships with a portfolio of brands, acting as the primary point of contact for these clients within MP. The role is focused on delivering a consistently high level of client satisfaction while driving commercial growth by identifying new business opportunities and expanding existing partnerships.
As a key commercial leader, the Wholesale Showroom Sales Manager is accountable for setting and executing strategies alongside the management team for marketing and buyer outreach to achieve and exceed sales targets for each brand. This includes leading seasonal showroom preparation and execution, gathering buyer feedback, and overseeing all post-showroom processes such as order confirmation, payment terms, and shipment coordination.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales & Account Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all communication with brands and buyers, ensuring regular check-ins through meetings and calls.
- Manage the end-to-end sales cycle: from order placement and material delivery to logistics coordination and post-sales processes (e.g., stock swaps, reorders).
- Liaise with buyers on selection confirmations, payment and delivery terms, shipment coordination, and all related documentation.
- Request and manage order confirmations (OC) and invoices from brands, and ensure timely delivery to buyers.
- Negotiate payment terms, follow up on payment proofs and shipment statuses, and maintain accurate payment and commission records.
Showroom Management & Visual Merchandising
- Lead buyer appointments in the showroom, presenting collections and communicating key product details and brand stories.
- Oversee showroom setup and breakdown with the team, including space layout, visual merchandising, model and intern selection, catering, and campaign planning.
- Edit brand collections and ensure merchandise is displayed in a visually compelling and commercially effective manner.
Client & Buyer Support
- Collect all necessary sales materials from clients and upload them to internal platforms to support communication and sales activities.
- Provide strategic feedback to brands based on a deep understanding of buyer preferences and market needs.
- Align buyer budgets with brand pricing to ensure commercial compatibility.
Business Development
- Grow and maintain the buyer database through research, targeted outreach, and networking.
- Proactively source and approach new brands that align with showroom criteria, supporting category growth.
- Send strategic communications (e.g., lookbooks, product updates) to buyers to promote collections and drive engagement.
Retail Support & Training
- Visit retail partners to assess merchandise presentation and collect visual content or insights for client reporting.
- Collaborate with brands to develop sales training kits and retail presentation tools for retail staff and partners.
Reporting & Analytics
- Produce regular sales performance reports by gathering feedback and data from buyers and brands to inform future strategies.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Fashion Management.
- Minimum 6+ years of experience in sales, showroom operations, or fashion brand management.
- Proven track record in luxury fashion, retail, or multi-brand environments.
- Strong familiarity with digital platforms; knowledge of Firebase and Google Analytics is a plus.
- Fluent in written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus.
