Description:

WTS Energy is currently seeking a highly experienced QHSE Director (or Associate Director) to oversee and strengthen Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental functions across major construction and development projects in Abu Dhabi. This leadership role requires a strategic professional capable of driving compliance, operational excellence, and a strong safety culture throughout the organization.

The selected candidate will play a critical role in shaping company-wide QHSE strategies, ensuring adherence to international standards, and leading multidisciplinary teams across various project sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive QHSE strategies aligned with corporate objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee and maintain ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management systems across all operations.
  • Lead internal and external audits, manage risk assessments, and supervise incident investigation processes.
  • Promote and embed a proactive quality and safety culture across all project locations.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance management for QHSE teams.
  • Ensure full compliance with local regulations and international best practices in health, safety, and environmental management.

Requirements:

  • 12 to 15+ years of progressive senior-level experience in QHSE roles.
  • Extensive exposure to large-scale construction or development projects.
  • Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or ISO Lead Auditor are highly preferred.
  • Strong leadership presence with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage complex operations and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
