Description:
EMCO Engineering Consultants is seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Engineer (Design / Site) to join our team in Ras Al Khaimah. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical design and site supervision, with proven experience in high-rise and large-scale building projects. This role requires technical expertise, regulatory awareness, and coordination skills to ensure project excellence from concept to execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and coordinate electrical designs, drawings, and technical specifications for building projects.
- Perform load calculations, cable sizing, and equipment selection in accordance with project requirements and standards.
- Ensure full compliance with local authority regulations (DEWA, ADDC, FEWA, SEWA, etc.).
- Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
- Conduct site inspections to verify installation quality and adherence to approved designs and safety codes.
- Coordinate with architectural, structural, and MEP teams to resolve design conflicts and ensure integration.
- Participate in technical meetings with clients, contractors, and consultants.
- Support project management in achieving timely delivery and technical excellence.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s degree is a plus).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an engineering consultancy environment.
- Proven experience in high-rise or large-scale building projects.
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems, electrical design codes, and UAE regulatory frameworks.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design software.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
- Must hold a valid classification/accreditation from the Federal Electricity and Water Authority (FEWA).
- Familiarity with local authority submission procedures and documentation standards.
