Marine Director

At Evogreen we’re on a mission to create a more sustainable world through innovation and responsible growth. We are looking for an experienced Marine Director to help scale our impact and drive operational excellence.

Your role will include:

· Identify and evaluate new business opportunities in the marine sector, including emerging markets and innovative technologies.

· Build and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders, including shipping companies, port authorities, and government agencies.

· Develop partnerships and alliances to enhance service offerings and expand market share.

· Building solid relationships with marine customers, agents, vendors, port authorities, insurance clubs, and ship-owners.

· Design and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with organizational goals.

· Oversee sales forecasting, pricing strategies, and competitive analysis.

· Identify target customer segments and tailor sales initiatives to meet their needs effectively.

· Researching emerging trends and recommending new solutions to satisfy customers’ needs.

· Developing and managing strategic partnerships to grow business.

· Overseeing waste management, pollution control, and marine biodiversity conservation programs.

· Coordinate with HO team for marine accident project and other matters required by HON team.

· Other duties and responsibilities will be required as per business needs.

Qualifications required:

· Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in sales, business development, or operational leadership within the industrial and/or marine sector.

· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Marine Studies, Business Administration, or a related field; an MSc or MBA will be considered a strong asset.

· Proven track record of identifying and developing new business opportunities, particularly within the marine industry.

· In-depth knowledge of marine operations, shipping industry dynamics, port authority frameworks, and international maritime regulations.

· Experience with hazardous waste management, marine pollution control, and environmental compliance.

· Strong commercial acumen with the ability to design and implement effective sales and partnership strategies.

· Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and high-level negotiation skills with key players such as shipping companies, insurance clubs, and government bodies.

· Strong organizational, analytical, and leadership skills to manage complex projects and cross-functional teams.

· Fluency in English (spoken and written); additional languages will be considered an asset.
