Description:
To lead and execute QA/QC activities related to storage tank refurbishment and inspection in offshore facilities. The role involves ensuring compliance with API 653 standards and project-specific quality requirements, coordinating with stakeholders, and maintaining quality control throughout the repair/refurbishment lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the Lead QA/QC representative for offshore tank refurbishment projects.
- Perform inspection and surveillance activities as per API 653 requirements for aboveground storage tanks.
- Coordinate and monitor repair, alteration, relocation, and reconstruction work on tanks, ensuring full compliance with codes and standards.
- Review and approve Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), PQRs, and other quality-related documentation.
- Lead or assist in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for any non-conformances and ensure timely corrective actions.
- Conduct NDT coordination and evaluation, ensuring activities are performed as per project procedures.
- Interface with client representatives, third-party inspectors, and internal teams on all QA/QC matters.
- Prepare daily and weekly QA/QC reports, documenting inspection findings, NCRs, and progress.
- Ensure proper documentation and traceability of materials, repairs, and inspection records.
- Promote safety and quality culture within the offshore team.
