Quantity Surveyor

Description:

A growing organization in Abu Dhabi is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team. This role is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in cost estimation, tender preparation, and pre-contract management within the construction industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing BOQs, managing tender documentation, evaluating quotations, and supporting procurement activities. Candidates with experience in infrastructure, water treatment, or wastewater treatment projects will have an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare cost estimates, feasibility studies, and project budgets.

• Perform quantity take-offs and prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ).

• Prepare tender documentation and manage the tendering process.

• Issue Requests for Quotations (RFQs) based on approved BOQs.

• Evaluate supplier and contractor quotations and prepare tender evaluation reports.

• Support procurement and other pre-contract commercial activities.

• Monitor project costs against approved budgets during the design stage.

• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal project teams.

• Identify value engineering opportunities and cost optimization solutions.

• Ensure compliance with contractual and commercial requirements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in quantity surveying with a strong focus on tendering and pre-contract activities.

• Proven experience in BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and tender management.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, PlanSwift, or other Quantity Surveying software.

• Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and coordination skills.

• Experience in infrastructure projects is preferred.

• Previous experience in Water Treatment Plant (WTP) and Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) projects is an added advantage.

• Strong knowledge of:
