Description:
We are seeking a hands-on Senior Technical Engineer to take full responsibility for the Technical Office. The role focuses on converting approved designs into precise manufacturing drawings and reviewing and approving all shop drawings before issuing them to the Production Manager.
This position is both executive and leadership-oriented, requiring daily hands-on technical work within the Technical Office. It is not a purely supervisory or desk-based role.
The engineer in this role is expected to carry the full responsibility of the Technical Office, including execution, review, approval, and workflow organization, without relying on a separate execution-only team.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed manufacturing and shop drawings for Fit-Out works (joinery, furniture, installation details)
- Convert approved designs into fully executable shop drawings for factory production
- Review and technically audit manufacturing drawings prepared within the Technical Office
- Approve shop drawings prior to submission to the Production Manager
- Coordinate directly with the Production Manager to resolve any technical conflicts before manufacturing begins
- Ensure all dimensions and technical details required for fabrication and installation are clear and complete
- Minimize repetitive errors and rework by enforcing high-quality drawing standards
- Prepare and review:

- Bills of Quantities (BOQ)
- Cutting Lists related to joinery and manufacturing

- Contribute to developing manufacturing checklists and standardized technical criteria
- Support and guide Technical Office engineers when required and elevate their technical standards
- Commit to defined approval timelines to avoid disrupting production flow
Requirements
- Strong practical experience in Fit-Out and manufacturing works within the UAE
- Proven hands-on experience converting designs into accurate shop drawings
- Deep understanding of joinery, furniture production, and execution details
- Ability to perform hands-on technical work in addition to reviewing and approving drawings
- Strong analytical skills in interpreting designs and transforming them into manufacturing-ready documents
- Practical, responsible personality capable of working under pressure
- Ability to make clear technical decisions and take full accountability
- Commitment to reporting hierarchy and direct collaboration with the Technical Office and Production Manager
