Structural Engineer

Description:

We are recruiting an experienced Structural Engineer to join a live construction project in Sharjah. The successful candidate will bring solid technical knowledge, hands-on UAE experience, and a collaborative mindset to ensure structural works are delivered to specification, on time, and in full compliance with local regulations and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate with the Project Manager and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure structural designs satisfy project requirements.
• Review, check and approve structural drawings, calculations, and associated design documentation.
• Carry out regular site inspections to monitor construction progress and verify compliance with approved drawings and safety procedures.
• Liaise with consultants, contractors, and local authorities to obtain approvals and facilitate site inspections.
• Provide technical guidance, troubleshoot structural issues during design and construction, and propose practical solutions.
• Prepare and review structural reports, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and progress records as required.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s is an advantage).
• 5–8 years of proven structural engineering experience within the UAE construction sector.
• Demonstrated experience on mid-to-large scale building projects.
• Strong familiarity with UAE building codes, authority regulations, and local construction practices.
• Proficiency in structural design and analysis software (e.g., STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAFE, AutoCAD).
• Excellent communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
• Must be currently based in the UAE and available to join as required.
