Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant with Travel Industry experience who is flexible, hands-on, and willing to take ownership of end-to-end accounting activities. The role also involves understanding our in-house accounting system (STAX) and assisting in its implementation and delivery to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle end-to-end accounting operations, including:
- Day to day operations like Invoicing, Collection, Payment followups.
- Prepare monthly reports, MIS, and financial summaries
- Ensure accuracy in revenue, cost, and margin reporting
- Work closely with internal teams for smooth financial operations
- Learn and understand the STAX Accounting System
- Support STAX project delivery, including:
- Customer data validation
- Accounting configuration and testing
- User coordination during implementation
- Assist customers in understanding accounting workflows within STAX
- Ensure compliance with internal accounting standards and timelines
Requirements
- 2–3 years of proven experience in Travel Accounting (mandatory)
- Strong knowledge of:
- Travel agency accounting practices
- BSP, suppliers, GDS-related accounting
- Good communication skills with fluency in English
- Flexible mindset to handle both accounting operations and project-related tasks
- Willingness to learn and adapt to in-house developed systems
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
