Description:

A prestigious Government Entity in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced GL Accountant to join its finance team. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in general ledger management, financial reporting, reconciliations, and accounting processes while ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial standards.

The successful candidate will support month-end closing activities, audits, VAT requirements, and financial reporting while maintaining accurate financial records in line with accounting principles and IFRS guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.

• Prepare journal entries and support month-end closing activities.

• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations.

• Prepare financial reports and accounting schedules.

• Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.

• Support audit processes, VAT requirements, and financial reporting activities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Minimum 5+ years of relevant accounting experience.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and IFRS.

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.

• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
