Safety Officer

Description:

Mark and Save is currently seeking a qualified and dedicated Safety Officer to join its Talent Management Team at the Head Office in Ajman. This role is ideal for safety professionals who are passionate about creating and maintaining a strong “Safety-First” culture across the organization.

As a Safety Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring a safe working environment across multiple operational sites, including retail stores, distribution centers, and DCRC facilities. Your primary focus will be on minimizing risks, preventing incidents, and promoting safety awareness through structured training and compliance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and maintain workplace safety standards across stores, distribution centers, and operational facilities

• Conduct regular risk assessments and implement preventive safety measures

• Monitor and reduce workplace incidents through proactive safety planning

• Deliver training sessions aligned with NEBOSH standards to employees

• Ensure compliance with UAE safety regulations and internal policies

• Investigate incidents and prepare detailed safety reports with recommendations

• Promote a culture of safety awareness and responsibility among all staff members

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or Engineering

• NEBOSH certification is mandatory

• 3–5 years of experience in workplace safety, preferably within retail or logistics environments

• Strong knowledge of safety standards, regulations, and best practices

• Excellent communication and training skills

• Ability to manage safety operations across multiple locations
