Description:
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Shipping Coordinator to join our operations team in Sharjah. The ideal candidate will have hands-on UAE experience handling domestic and international freight, preferably within the building materials sector. This role demands strong coordination skills, familiarity with export/import documentation, and the ability to manage fragile and oversized shipments with care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage both domestic and international shipments of stone, tile, and related building materials.
- Prepare and verify shipping documentation including Bills of Lading, packing lists, and other export/import paperwork.
- Handle customs clearance activities using Dubai Trade / e-Mirsal platforms.
- Coordinate closely with freight forwarders, warehouse teams, and sales staff to ensure smooth logistics flow.
- Oversee the correct packing and safe handling of fragile and oversized goods to prevent damage during transit.
- Monitor shipment schedules and follow up to ensure timely delivery and resolution of any shipping issues.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ proven experience in shipping or logistics coordination within the UAE (2–3 years preferred).
- Solid understanding of Bills of Lading, export/import documentation, and e-Mirsal procedures.
- Familiarity with UAE customs processes and international shipping regulations.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong communication abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and coordinate multiple stakeholders to meet timelines.
