Description:

A leading Insurance Brokerage Company in the UAE is seeking an experienced GL Accountant to join its finance team in Abu Dhabi.

The ideal candidate should have strong general ledger accounting experience, knowledge of UAE VAT practices, and the ability to manage reconciliations and financial records accurately.

This role requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in accounting systems and Excel to support effective financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage general ledger activities and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.

• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.

• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.

• Maintain accurate accounting records and financial reports.

• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT requirements and accounting practices.

Arabs & Middle Easterners

• Work with ERP systems and Excel for financial analysis and reporting.

• Collaborate with internal teams to support smooth accounting operations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

• 2–5 years of accounting experience.

• Insurance Brokerage or Insurance Company experience is required.

• Strong GL accounting and reconciliation experience.

• Knowledge of UAE VAT and accounting practices.

• Good skills in Excel and ERP systems.

• Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities.

• Strong knowledge of:

• General ledger management and financial reporting.

• Account reconciliation processes.

• UAE accounting standards and compliance requirements.
