Senior Accountant

Description:

A construction company in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join its finance team. The ideal candidate should have strong accounting and financial reporting expertise, along with previous experience working within the construction industry.

The selected candidate will be responsible for managing accounting operations, preparing financial reports, handling reconciliations, and supporting day-to-day finance activities. Strong attention to detail, proficiency in accounting software, and the ability to work independently are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage accounting activities and maintain accurate financial records.

• Prepare financial reports and support monthly closing activities.

• Handle VAT-related accounting requirements and ensure compliance.

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

• Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.

• Maintain financial data accuracy using Excel and accounting software.

• Support finance operations and provide accounting insights when required.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Senior Accountant.

• Previous experience in the construction industry is required.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.

• Knowledge of VAT, reconciliations, payables, and receivables.

• Good command of Excel and accounting software.

• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities effectively.
