Description:
We are looking for a highly experienced and commercially driven Senior Business Development Manager to lead our retail expansion and distribution strategy across the UAE and selected international export markets.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and building long-term strategic partnerships within modern trade, traditional trade, and international distribution channels.
The ideal candidate will bring strong FMCG industry expertise, established retail relationships in the UAE, and a proven ability to develop and execute high-impact business growth strategies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Business Development
- Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies aligned with company growth objectives
- Identify new market opportunities across UAE retail, wholesale, and export channels
- Lead market entry and go-to-market strategies for new products and regions
- Provide regular market intelligence, competitor analysis, and strategic insights to senior leadership
2. Key Account & Retail Management
- Build, manage, and strengthen relationships with key retail chains, supermarkets, and distributors
- Negotiate and secure high-value agreements and long-term contracts
- Ensure product listings across major retail accounts and key distribution partners
- Drive strategic partnerships that support long-term business expansion
3. Revenue & Sales Growth
- Achieve and exceed annual revenue, profitability, and growth targets
- Develop structured sales plans for retail and distribution channels
- Continuously monitor performance and optimize sales strategies
- Support pricing strategy development to ensure competitiveness and margin optimization
4. Retail Execution & Distribution Excellence
- Oversee in-store execution, merchandising, promotions, and product visibility
- Manage and optimize distribution networks across UAE markets
- Ensure effective channel management across modern trade and traditional trade
- Coordinate closely with supply chain teams to ensure product availability and efficiency
5. Export & International Business Expansion
- Identify and develop new export opportunities in international markets
- Manage relationships with overseas distributors and partners
- Ensure compliance with export regulations and international trade requirements
- Support business expansion into new global territories
6. Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Analyze sales performance, market trends, and distribution efficiency
- Prepare detailed business performance reports for leadership review
- Use data-driven insights to improve strategy and execution
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with marketing, operations, finance, and supply chain teams
- Contribute to pricing strategies, product positioning, and promotional planning
- Ensure alignment across all departments for smooth business execution
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
- 8–12 years of proven experience in FMCG industry (mandatory)
- Strong background in retail, distribution, and key account management
- Established network within UAE retail chains and distributor ecosystem
- Proven track record of achieving revenue growth and business expansion targets
- Strong P&L management experience
- Experience in export or international markets is an advantage
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical mindset and data-driven decision-making ability
